The Inventory Department dictionary is used to assign supply resources to specific departments such as Anesthesia or Extended Recovery Care. Users may assign items to departments to help track their use in the facility. The Inventory Department field is an optional field and is editable in the Item Master when the supply location information is added. Reports may be run using the Inventory Department as a group by or sort by option.
The Inventory Department dictionary is a Not Shared (Business Entity) dictionary. Items created or modified in the dictionary will be active only in the Business Entities in which it is created.
To add a new inventory department
Click to save your changes and return to the Items screen.
Click to save your changes and clear the fields on the dialog, so you can add another new Item to the dictionary.
Click to discard your changes and return to the Items screen.
